How to Make a Brandy Smash

Instructions

Add the brandy and simple syrup to a shaker half-filled with ice.
Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Then add the mint and shake gently.
Strain the contents into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes

Garnish

Decorate with fresh mint and lemon slice.

Tips & substitutions

No brandy? Try bourbon or sweet vermouth.
No lemons? Try limes.

The glass

Serve this one in a rocks glass. Basically an Old Fashioned glass, but stronger with thicker glass and rim, made from toughened glass to suit drinks that require muddling.
