- 0.5 ozlime juice
- 1 dashsoda water

How to Make a Gin Rickey
Instructions
- Fill a highball glass with ice and add the gin and lime juice.
- Top with soda water.
Garnish
Decorate with lime wheels.
Tips & substitutions
- No gin? Try vodka, tequila or white rum.
- No lime juice? Try lemon juice.
The glass
Serve this one in a highball glass. Tall and narrow with straight or slightly flaring sides, the highball glass is used to serve highball cocktails and other mixed drinks. A highball glass is taller than an Old Fashioned glass, and shorter and wider than a Collins glass.

The invention of this refreshing drink is very clear: It was named after Joe Rickey, a Democratic lobbyist living in Washington, D.C., during the late 19th century. It's almoast the same as a Gimlet, but without the cordial.
