How to Make a Bloody Maria

Instructions

  1. Add the tequila, tomato juice, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, celery salt and black pepper to a shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Shake briefly and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnish

Decorate with a stick of celery, lemon and lime wedges.

  • No tequila? Try gin or white rum.
  • No limes? Try lemons.
  • No lemons? Try limes.

The glass

Serve this one in a highball glass. Tall and narrow with straight or slightly flaring sides, the highball glass is used to serve highball cocktails and other mixed drinks. A highball glass is taller than an Old Fashioned glass, and shorter and wider than a Collins glass.
